Crime Reports February 2020

On February 1 a boat was left in the back yard of a residence in High Street. Unknown persons have entered the yard and removed a 25HP Yamaha outboard engine.

On February 3 a male offender with a camouflage back pack and on a black mountain bike, forced entry into a unit on Turriff Lodge Drive and attempted to open a gun safe. He was surprised by a neighbour and fled the scene, taking a gas-operated nail gun in an orange container.

February 10 – The owner left a black “DYNO” mountain bike next to his camper van on Hamilton Road and it was stolen.

 February 13 РThe owner of a ute left it in the car park of the Derwent Valley Resort on Lower Road overnight, to discover the next morning that three spray guns had been taken from the tray.

February 17 – the owner of a property on Sharland Avenue was awakened to find a smashed front window. He could not find a foreign object among the glass to indicate what was used.

February 21 – An unknown person broke into a white Toyota Hilux perked on Circle Street and poured petrol throughout and ignited the fuel. The vehicle was totally destroyed.

February 28 – A Great Wall K2 vehicle was parked in a front yard on Burnett Street overnight, when unknown persons scratched door panels.
