Domestic and Family Violence Awareness Workshop

2 Hour workshop - beacuse DFV is everyone's business

DV-awareness session is two-hour interactive presentation where individuals and groups can talk about the issue of domestic violence and what they can do to help make a difference.

The 2-hour workshop is a New Norfolk Neighbourhood Watch initiative supported by Derwent Valley Councillor Julie Triffett and Jen Butler MP.

Where: Lions Club, 17 – 19 Humphrey St, New Norfolk.
When: Saturday, 23rd November 2019, 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

At the end of the awareness session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the different signs and forms of abuse that constitute domestic and family violence
  • Familiarise themselves with the Cycle of Violence and Duluth wheels
  • Reflect on and share what they can do if they know someone who is experiencing domestic and family violence
  • Receive tools and references for domestic and family violence support and Referral
